What’s your name, and how did you get started doing make-up?
“My name is Shantelle and I got started doing hair back in high school. I joined the theater department and I did the hair for one of our shows, and I really liked it, so I also joined cosmetology school while I was in high school, and yeah, I just went from there.”
What’s your favorite thing about doing hair?
“My favorite thing about being a hairstylist is people's faces after you finish doing their hair, especially if they really like it. I love getting hugs from my brides, or even just normal people going to galas or just people feeling with their most beautiful selves.”
Fun fact about you?
“Fun fact about me is I do hair full time, but on the side, I'm also a finance major in college right now.”
Favorite product you can’t live without?
I can't live without the fiber elastic gum from Osis. It's really good for taming flyaways without putting too much of a heavyweight product in your hair.”
